Melissa and Dan - The Secret Garden, Kent in November

Melissa and Daniel got married at The Secret Garden in Ashford, Kent, in November, surrounded by family and friends. They chose this captivating and elegant venue for its secluded walled gardens and romantic courtyard and had exclusive use for their special day. The bridal party got ready at a nearby B&B, where I joined them to capture the excitement and anticipation of the wedding morning.

The bride and her father arrived in a vintage Jaguar and followed her bridesmaids, flower girls and adorable page boy into the chapel. The groom had a very emotional reaction to seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle towards him (there wasn't a dry eye in the room!) and the two local registrars conducted a beautiful, simple ceremony. The newlyweds then made their way out to the most incredible flurry of confetti before a drinks reception in the Coach House.

The gardens provided a great setting for photographs, especially the orchard and gazebo strewn with climbing flowers, which looked so pretty in the warm autumn light.

At The Secret Garden, all food is freshly prepared on the premises, with seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the large kitchen garden. The guests were treated to a fantastic 3 course wedding breakfast and 4 moving speeches.

The boys went outside for some after-dinner Colombian cigars while the bride kicked off the evening party by throwing her bouquet. Being music-lovers, Melissa and Dan opted for Latin style dancing for the evening entertainment, then finally said goodnight to their guests with an array of sparklers, glowing into the night.
